Coroplast Global | News | 14 Nov 2024 Networking and Learning: Our Fellows at the ada Lovelace Festival 2024

Ten of our colleagues are currently participating in the ada Fellowship to enhance their skills and actively contribute to a digital, sustainable future. A highlight of the program is the Lovelace Festival, which took place on November 6-7. There, our Fellows had the opportunity to network and be inspired by the variety of topics on four stages.

Training as the key to long-term success

Through our extensive training programme, we encourage all employees to engage in lifelong learning. This is very important to us, because only if we as an organisation keep our finger on the pulse, remain innovative and open, we will continue to be valued by our customers as an efficient development partner.

In this context, the ada Fellowship Programme is an enrichment to our offering: participants acquire important knowledge and practical skills – e.g. in technology, sustainability, leadership or resilience. They become part of an ambitious community and can develop concrete solutions in the ada Future Lab.

"New Utopias – The ada Lovelace Festival 2024

This year's ada Lovelace Festival in Ludwigsburg was the highlight of the Coroplast Group's fellowship so far – a wonderful opportunity to learn from the best in the industry and stay one step ahead.

It was an inspiring event where I met many exciting people from a wide range of companies. The presentations and workshops on AI and its impact on the future of business – as well as the responsible use of this technology - were particularly enriching.

Nicolás Knille | Head of Labour Law & HR Services at Coroplast Group

The event, held in the spacious Forum am Schlosspark, featured a diverse program of presentations by industry pioneers and panel discussions on trends such as leadership, innovation, sustainability and artificial intelligence. Tailored networking sessions, attended by more than 1,000 Fellows from a wide range of industries, provided the ideal setting for the exchange of ideas. Workshops offered the opportunity to tackle cross-industry challenges and find applicable solutions. Last but not least, many personal contacts were made in a relaxed atmosphere.

Artificial intelligence will have a strategic impact on our business. To realize its full potential, we need a deep understanding of its capabilities and limitations. It's not just about technology, it's about cultural change and collaboration. Speech models like ChatGPT show how AI can be applied in a tailored way – for better results and more efficient processes. The ada Fellowship is an excellent opportunity to develop the skills for ethical and sustainable use.

The ada Lovelace Festival was a great event for a community working hard on the future to find long-term answers to current questions.

We have gathered key insights from our newly returned Fellows:

  • Transformation cannot be imposed from above. It requires a willingness to change on the part of all employees.
  • Openness and adaptability are increasingly important.
  • Interdisciplinary and cross-divisional collaboration will become increasingly important.
  • Artificial intelligence (AI) only works with previously optimized, standardized processes.
  • AI is not an isolated solution, but must be fully integrated into processes.
  • AI agents are the next big thing – interacting programs that perform tasks.
  • Ethical issues and regulations for the responsible use of AI are major challenges.
