Coroplast Global | News | 21 Jun 2023 Fantastic performance - the Coroplast team at the Schwebebahnlauf 2023

A fabulous event for the participants and the enthusiastic fans: On June 18, the starting signal was given again for the Schwebebahnlauf in Wuppertal and the Coroplast Group was at the start as a top partner with its largest team to date.

Running all together - with 77 employees at the starting line

In beautiful summer weather with sweaty temperatures, on Sunday, June 18, it was time to hit the track: More than 3,000 participants competed in various running disciplines at the 11th edition of the nationally known Schwebebahnlauf. The spectators, who were also numerous, were able to cheer on the athletes of all age groups in the 10-kilometer run, half marathon, marathon and various junior competitions.

The 5-kilometer company run was once again the traditional highlight this year - and the Coroplast Group enriched this starting field with a 77-strong team.

The cheering and enthusiasm of our colleagues really motivated me. Whether as a runner or "just" a spectator - as Team Coroplast we were unbelievably powerful and the Schwebebahnlauf once again showed and strengthened our sense of team spirit. I am very proud that I was running for the Coroplast Group!

Highly motivated: Cheered on by numerous colleagues, the Coroplast team showed a remarkable running performance.

Good results...

Strongly supported by colleagues and our CEO, Natalie Mekelburger, the Coroplast team reached the finish line happy and complete. Four runners stood out with particularly good performances: In the women's race, Sarah Lack finished in an excellent 7th place overall with a time of 20:53 min. In the men's race, three participants completed the 5-kilometer distance in under or just over 20 minutes. Matthias Kaja ran the distance in 18:41 min, Marius Frantzen followed with 19:17 min ahead of Felix Böllhoff with 20:21 min. For comparison: The overall fastest sprinted across the finish line with the impressive time of 14:55 min. The best time for the women was 19:56 min. Congratulations to the whole team - our running training paid off in the run-up to the race!

... and nice experiences

On the day of the Schwebebahnlauf, our main concern was the great togetherness - both on and off the course. Our supporting offer was also impressive: in addition to numerous refreshment drinks, there was sun protection and a relaxation area in the Coroplast tent. Sun loungers were available for both employees and welcome guests.

The Schwebebahnlauf was and still is an absolute highlight for us. We are already looking forward to taking part again next year.

Perfectly happy: caps, sunscreen, deck chairs, drinks and ice cream - everything was provided at the Coroplast tent.
